Logoori Online Dictionary

This is the entry page to the online Logoori dictionary. For the main dictionary entry, go here. There are also some explanatory pages which try to explain how things are, and why. It may be useful to first read this paper about special pronunciation properties of Logoori. Then the following pages give specific information about the dictionary:

How to find a word (why it’s not trivial)
Now read this after you read and understand the explanation above. Logoori is a complicated languages, and you may not have really understood how the dictionary is organized, so let's see!
Spelling versus pronunciation (how do you know “the” spelling of a word?)
            Structure of the dictionary
            Defects
            Notes to linguists

Final note. The dictionary contains words provided by speakers of Logoori. There is no judgment as to whether a word is "proper Logoori", therefore I include words like ɪdáágɪka 'minute' even though the word was long ago borrowed from Swahili. The word ɪdaranyɪ 'lion' is more ancient, but ɪsíímba 'lion' is more widely used, therefore both words are listed.
